Note to Self privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Note to Self is an app by Adiso (the Netherlands). It lets you quickly email yourself a note. We keep it simple: the app collects as little as possible, everything stays on your phone, and Adiso has no servers of its own that your data passes through.

In short

What data the app uses

What you type or share. The text, links and attachments of a note are stored on your phone until they have been sent, and are then deleted. They only go to the email address you choose as the recipient.

Settings. Your recipients, tags, sender name and other settings are stored on your phone only. If you use your own mail server (SMTP), your password is stored encrypted on your phone and only sent to that server.

Link previews. When you share a link, the app fetches that page directly from your phone to show its title, summary and image. The website sees a normal request, just like when you open a page in your browser.

Google user data

When you sign in with Google, Note to Self requests access to:

This data is only used on your phone. It is not sent to Adiso or anyone else, not sold, not used for advertising and not used to train AI models.

Note to Self's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third-party services

To sign in and send, the app uses Google Play services and Google's Gmail API, which are also covered by Google's privacy policy. The app contains no other third-party services for analytics or advertising.

Deleting your data

Children

Note to Self is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
